Deep Plane Face Lift

Face and neck lifting: Deep Plane Face Lift

Deep facial lifting is an advanced technique that works on the deeper layers of the face. Unlike other lifting techniques that solely treat and tighten the skin by manipulating it extensively and aggressively, this methodology effectively targets the plane of the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS). This is a deeper and more resilient plane that naturally repositions the muscles and fat compartments in a more natural and lasting way over time.

These planes are naturally connected to the skin, and by preserving these natural connections with the deeper tissues, a greater effect is achieved in repositioning the eyebrows, cheekbones, and providing a clearer definition of the jawline and neck. Most importantly, it does this in a way that minimizes surgical trauma to the skin and incisions, resulting in a natural facial rejuvenation that is, above all, more long-lasting. Much more enduring than traditional liftings that achieve their effect solely by pulling the skin. In deep plane preservation lifting, no structure is pulled; instead, it is repositioned back to where it used to be in a gentle and natural manner.

Why is it different than the classic facelift?
